Hotel Reservations
Please note: Our hotel reservation policies are based on all the Guatemala hotel policies. All GuatemalaViva.com hotel reservations are prepaid by credit card. Your credit card will not be charged immediately when submitting your reservation confirmation online through our secure server (for more information please see the 'Hotel Charge Policies'). The total charge includes taxes and in most cases, breakfast. All hotel reservations made by GuatemalaViva.com are guaranteed. Other hotel services like laundry service, fax & phone calls, parking, room service and other, are not included on our rates. Guests in charge of the reservation request process must be at least 18 years of age to make the hotel reservation. High Season rates and policies apply during: Easter Week and Christmas - New Year holidays. If you are making your reservation during high season in Guatemala, remember that there is a four or five night minimum stay for all hotel in Guatemala. (depending on individual hotel policy)

Hotel Cancellations and reservation changes
Please note: These cancellation policies follow the same cancellation policies given by all hotels in Guatemala.
Cancellations made within 21 days-time before the check-in date in regular season are subject to a penalty determined by the hotel.
Cancellations made 22 days-time before or earlier to the check-in date in regular season will have a full refund of charges made.
Cancellations for High Season made within 60 days-time before the check-in date are or may be subject to a penalty determined by the hotel.
Cancellations for High Season made 61 days-time
or earlier to the check-in date are subject to a full refund of charges made.
No refunds for unused nights, including those resulting from delayed check-in or early check-out, will be given.
No refunds will be issued by no-shows.
Please do not call the hotel directly to make changes or cancellations to your reservation processed by GuatemalaViva.com as their agents will not be able to change, charge or issue refunds process through our site.
Cancellations should be made online, contact us for more information. Do not forget to include your reservation ID number when making changes or cancellations; otherwise we won’t be able to make the cancellation or changes you request properly and we would not be responsable under such circumstances.

Hotel Reservation charging policy
All charges made directly to GuatemalaViva.com and through PayPal are processed on our secure server, keeping all information encripted for your security.
The Hotel and GuatemalaViva.com require a 15% or 20% (may vary) charge of the full amount of your hotel stay to guarantee your reservation; this charge is made to your credit card from 1 to 24 hours after submitting your confirmation. This 15% or 20% charge is fully refundable under the 'terms & policies' stated for the cancellation policies of GuatemalaViva.com. The 85% or 80% balance should be charged when checking in or 30 days before arrival, depending on the hotel and season; this information and charge differences are clearly stated on your reservation request ID ticket given to you during the reservation request process.
Some exceptions may apply by the hotel depending on the reservations request volume, in this case the hotel may require the full payment in advanced. Please note that all charge is fully refundable based on the cancellation policy.
